...and apparently it can't buy Star Wars promos from the post office. I was up to $200 cash (which I didn't have, but the postmaster didn't need to know that). The morons behind the counter had the nerve to ask "what does a woman want with Star Wars stuff anyway?" Duh...need I remind the world that there are three generations of Star Wars junkies in my family (can I get an AMEN from Joe and Zane). Anywho, I was obviously not the first to offer a semi-substantial sum of money for a cardboard stand-up of R2D2 and C3PO...with twinkly lights I might add...it was so cool!

Today's words of advice are for the local TV stations --- unless the tornado is on the ground and heading directly for my apartment, I don't want or need to hear about it. And the next time you see fit to give me a storm warning, don't interrupt the hockey game, save it for intermission...that gives you 18 minutes to remind us to run to the storm cellar...or to the digital camera, whichever is closer. Incidentally, the Senators will beat the Sabres in 6 games, and will take the Cup in 5.
